About
Millersville Area Meals on Wheels
Millersville Area Meals on Wheels (MAMOW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing well-balanced, ready-to-eat meals to residents in the Penn Manor School District area. Our mission is to help individuals who are unable to shop or cook for themselves to remain independent in their own homes.
Our History & Mission
Since May 1988, we have been a cornerstone of the Millersville community, starting with just 14 clients and growing into the robust program it is today. Our success is built on the dedication of our incredible team of volunteers who shop, cook, pack, and deliver meals. Their passion for serving the community is what allows us to continue our commitment to those in need, a commitment that has never wavered—even through challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic.
For more than 30 years, our goal has remained the same: to provide home-cooked meals with care and compassion. We’ve continuously improved our service by upgrading our kitchen to meet modern standards and using eco-friendly, recyclable containers.
Our Services
We offer two nutritious meals a day, delivered Monday through Friday.
-
Hot Meal: A hot meal that includes a main dish, side dish, vegetable, and dessert.
-
Cold Lunch Bag: A cold lunch that typically features a sandwich, fruit, dessert, side, juice, and milk.
We work on a nine-week rotating menu to ensure variety. We also offer specialized diabetic and cardiac-friendly meals to meet specific dietary needs.
